Late 19th or Early 20th c. Meershaum Cigarette Holder with Carved Rabbit c. 1895 For Sale

This charming late 19th c. or early 20th c. figural meerschaum cigarette holder is decorated with a hand carved running rabbit on a rocky perch. It also features a turned end where it would have held the cigarette. It has a lovely amber reddish patina. There is a chip where the mouthpiece would have fitted. The tip of one of the rabbit\'s ears looks like it might have been chipped long ago. The overall size of the piece is 2\" long x 1 3/8\" tall.. I think it was created in Vienna.
