MUSEUM QUALITY, COLORFUL 1880's Victorian Silk Sampler Medallion Antique Quilt For Sale

This elegant silk and cotton 1880's sampler / medallion quilt has hand pieced and quilted blocks machine stitched together (two layers), without an overall back, batting (fill), or binding.It measures 64" X 66" and is in very good condition, with age spotting on the back, and just the beginning of weakness in some of the silks -- mostly the white in the background.
The WONDERFUL COLORS and EXTENSIVE PIECEWORK make this late 19th century collector's piece stand out -- it would make a terrific wall hanging!
