Magnificent Two Thai Temple “Thephanom” Guardians- brother / sister For Sale

The Thai Thephanom Guardians statues are cast out of a metal, most likely iron, shown in traditional detailed Thai garb, in a kneeling position, and with hands pressed together.

In Thai Buddhism, the Thepenom or Teppanom arecelestial beings or mythological angels that descend to the Earth as the Buddha reached enlightenment. They are shown in the traditional Thai garb, in a kneeling position, with hands pressed together.

Antique Thep Phanom Temple Guardians, also called Thepanom, is originally from Thailand. They guard the temples and make sure that the negative energy stays outside the temple. If you place them at the door of your house, they will protect you and everything in your home. You always put them down as a set (man and woman), because that has to do with the balance of Ying and Yang. Place the female temple guard on the left and the male temple guard on the right (if you are standing in front of it).

Thephanom also refers toan angel or deity who is a temple protector and guardian. They are often represented as a pair, a brother and a sister, kneeling on both knees with hands at the wai position, praying or offering respect. The Thepanom first came to earth when Buddha reached enlightenment.
