Edge is a little bit better than the factory finish, as I did a little bit of work to it. If you want it *razor* sharp for fine shaving, you will need to finish it up the way you like it. 



The handle is currently sanded down to 220 grit and is ready to be finished as you like. Comes with everything you need finish the handle. Some people like boiled linseed oil, and some people - like me - prefer tung oil for its softness and durability. Diluting the tung oil with the included naturally-derived orange solvent is the preferred and safe method for a high-quality, durable, and long-lasting finish. I already have open containers of each of these for myself, so these brand new, unopened ones are included at the Buy-It-Now price. These sealed bottles of tung oil and orange solvent are worth $40.
