This is an original 100% World War l tunic jacket that belonged to a soldier who fought for the United States during the First World War. The jacket is an authentic wool tunic standard-issue enlisted men’s tunic from the First World War manufactured by the New York Depot. The jacket is in good condition despite being over a hundred years old but there is some noticeable mothing given the age. The person to whom this jacket belonged served during World War l however his service history is not known. It appears all buttons on the jacket are present and intact. Inside of the jacket, it is written “152/155 16/2 49.” I am guessing that this is the stock number of the uniform made when it was manufactured in World War l. As mentioned the jacket is a 100% guaranteed original and for being over 100 years old is in acceptable condition. An original World War l uniform jacket is hard to come by as World War l was fought 106 years ago. I acquired this uniform from a family friend however his service during the war was not known as he passed a while ago. This is an original World War l uniform jacket that belonged to a man who served in the United States Army from 1917 to 1918. These pieces show the great history of World War l and a brave patriot who served his country in war. This would make a great gift for any history buff or a perfect addition to any collection.
