Original 1936 Chrysler Enamel Radiator Grille Emblem Badge Airstream Airflow FOX For Sale

An original two-part enamel radiator grille emblem that I believe fits various Chrysler Airstream and Airflow model vehicles manufactured in the year 1936. This emblem may fit other models of Chrysler cars in different years than specified above and so please make sure it’s the part you need for your project or collection before offerding.

Overall, the emblem is in very good condition and looks great in display. It is not bent, broken or repaired. The V-shape is by design, to fit the underlying grille. All original mounting hardware, with felt gaskets, is included. The emblem was made by The FOX COMPANY, Cincinnati O. USA, as stamped on back.

The emblem has two parts:

The horizontal background section’s purple enamel is shiny & bright with the beautiful underlying ‘ray’ design still clearly visible. The original nickel or chrome plating around the edge is also still present and very shiny. The only damage I note are chips in the purple enamel at the top and bottom of the diamond, above and below the Chrysler crest (see photos).

The Chrysler crest portion of the emblem is also in very nice condition. It is missing some enamel - primarily in the Chrysler script (letter ‘L’) and in the top and bottom lightning bolt and ribbon areas.

This original two-part Chrysler emblem is quite scarce, especially in this condition. It measures ~85mm wide and ~53mm high (diamond tip to diamond tip).
