RARE Antique Tortoise Shell and Mother of Pearl Business Card Case w card SALE For Sale

Antique as shown with age-appropriate wear, the hinge and latch are in working condition but feel a little loose and appropriately fragile. No cracks or missing inlay on the mother of pearl side. On the rear side (solid tortoise) one piece of the trim on the top side of the hinged piece is missing as shown in photos but having minimal impact on the presentation of this one of a kind piece. One monogram at top appears to have the initials C.T.L. in a fine etching. The interior is lined with a soft material and includes an antique calling card for The Reverend and Mrs. D.W.Evans. This has been in the same family for over 100 years. Origins of the materials and original owner are unknown.
