RARE HUBLEY Vintage 1930 Cast Iron Conestoga Covered Wagon pulled by horses 

NOTE: I am not an expert in Hubley treasures, but I am calling this as an authentic Hubley item based on these aspects: casted directly into the item is “Hubley 375 2”. In addition there is a water slide decal known to be fragile and its wording is worn beyond “Hubley”. Most likely it would have said Toy Line similar to other water decals I have seen. Rarely are these two found together on copies as my research shows. See pictures for more.

Some sites describe this piece as a a door stop, while others say it’s a book end. The measurement for this piece is approximately 9.5” x 5.25”. It weighs a little over 5 pounds.

This iconic "Conestoga Covered Wagon," revered by collectors of western memorabilia, was made circa 1930 by the Hubley Manufacturing Company in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Hubley was well known for producing quality cast iron items including children's toy, coin savings banks, door stops, and book ends..

This particular example is in extremely good shape. It is believed to be all original parts, with no repainting. Of course there is some wear on the paint due to its age.
