Up for sale is a very rare second series Erie #9 skillet. The second series has the distinct reinforced lip and handle and. No cracks, sits flat. This pan does have sulfur pitting from being used over coal stoves in the late 1800’s, early 1900’s. Inside is smooth and really nice with some marks and blemishes as expected with a piece over 100 years old. Check out photos and ask any questions. As this is has been only seasoned a few times and not used to cook the color is closer to dark brown than black. Photos taken in daylight to show any discoloration.
This item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. Photos are part of the item’s description. Please use them for a clearer understanding of items’ overall condition. If you have any questions, please let me know.
