Translated, the title meansThe Army in the Great German War of Independence;in other words, from the German point of view, WWII. These pictures were taken of troops in action in various locations before, during, and after combat.
The particular photographic print being offered above is No. 9, titled: Schwere Artillerie Im Osten, (Heavy Artillery on the East Front)
These are very rare original historic photographic prints. They are in excellent condition, especially considering they are over eighty years old. They were published by Oberkommando des Heeres and printed by Förster & Borries in Zwickau (Saxony)in1942.
Dimensions are 33.5cm x 39cm (approximately 12&5/8" x 14/58").
