Rare 1920s ROCHESTER BLACK MARIA Police transport paddy wagon truck real photo
The term "Black Maria" was used for the police vehicles used to transport prisoners (note the bars enclosing the compartment on the back of the truck).
My guess is that the "Rochester" on the hood of the truck signifies Rochester, New York.
Based on the build of the truck, I am guessing that this is from the 1920s. But I am not an expert on the evolution of the truck or police vehicles.
Measures about 3.5" x 3.5"
