U.S. Civil War Era Model 1862 Socket Bayonet H&P Conversion. This measures 21" overall with a 3" socket, Inside diameter of muzzle ring is .830". The ricasso area on blade is marked, US. Excellent condition showing light wear, use, some light scattered pitting on socket. Socket, right side stamped, "N 52" An interesting piece converted by Hewes and Phillips and was quite similar to the M1854 Remington Conversion.
