This animation drawing was actually used in the production of this animated feature, and is one of a kind.Drawing is done on archival 50lb tracing paper, often using prismacolor drawing pencils for most of the design work, andit was customary for the artist to work on larger sheets of tracing paper, edit back through, select, then often cut out the individual images that were to be shown, in order to scan and tag them separately. The advantage to this approach was the artist found that they could remain less attached and feel free to restart a drawing if it wasn’t working out, could start over, change to another character, rough out ideas for other projects etc- all on the same page, without having to worry so much about continuity. Drawing is signed and dated by the artist Buck Lewis (H B Lewis). Artworkis infine condition with usual wear and creases expected from a production used drawing. Animation Cel - A cel (short for celluloid) is a blank clearplastic sheet used by the studio artist to paint an animated characteror object based on the animator\'s original pencil drawing. Every celis different but this does not mean that every cel is unique.
