Rare Netherlands Dutch East Indies M1895 Mannlicher KNIL Rifle Bayonet Scabbard For Sale

Very nice example of a rare model 1895 KNIL bayonet complete with leather scabbard. Made by OEWG in Austria. The ricasso and the hilt is blued with the exposed portions worn bright with some rust but no pitting. The brightly polished double edged blade retains its original edge and sharp point with some rust but no major issues. The wood is excellent with no cracks or chips. The release is tight and functions flawlessly. Very nice leather scabbard which is complete with its retaining strap, brass finial and leather tab on the end. However there is a hole near the end where the tip sticks out. The stitching is still tight. It has sharp marking on top at the belt loop and the faint remains of some painted numbers on the face.
