Rare, Original Cartoon Drawing by John Stees (1910-1982) -Big Sun For Sale

Up for sale is a rare originalcartoon drawing from long time Baltimore Sun illustrator, John Stees. The cartoon is not dated and measures approximately7 1/4" X8 1/4".

Mr. Stees (Baltimore 1910-1982) was a well known artist / cartoonistfor the Baltimore Sun Newspaper from 1936-1979.He also was a cartoonist and artist for both The Sunday Sun and The Evening Sun. Even after he retired from the Sun in 1979 his strip "Stees Sees" continued appearing until his death in 1982.

The drawing is in good condition. Some slight discoloration, markings, wear and teardue to age mainly in bottom edge.There issome writing in pencil in upper left cornerand bottom center of drawing.Alsoit is numbered in pencil in upper right corner. All of this is shown in photos.
