Rare Seton Rochwite Stereo Realist Light Box & Mounting Gauge Bundle:
$350.00

This is a combination light box and alignment grid for viewing and aligning stereo (3D) slides taken with the Stereo Realist, Kodak Stereo, Revere Stereo, Wollensak Stereo, TDC Vivid, TDC Colorist, and other 1950\'s vintage stereo cameras or any other camera. It may also be used for mounting slides taken with twin 35mm cameras, for mounting in Stereo Realist size mounts, and can be used with Gepe mounts and for European format stereo slides, taken with the Belplasca, Verascope F40, Iloca 1 and Fed Stereo cameras. The 7.25\" fluorescent tube provides bright illumination for the 1 7/8\" x8\" lighted area. A ridge at the bottom of the lighted area provides a resting place for the slide mount or mask. A small depression in the plastic lighted area, in the top center, provides a space to make it easier to lift up a mask or mount that is flat on the lighted area. Notice engraving area saying \"Seton Rochwite Instruments\". The light box has been kept indoors, in a storage cabinet when not in use. It is in excellent cosmetic and working condition, with just a few minor blemishes in the black painted finish of the box itself. The box seems to be made of Masonite - a dense wood composite. There are 4 holes at the top edge with brass screws in them that are for optional usage. The bulb is a slow start type, requiring that you press and hold the button on the back side of the box to turn the light on. If nothing happens it is in a off cycle. Just repeat the press and hold and it should come on the next time. Every other press is a on cycle.

This package contains some accessories that are useful in mounting and viewing slides. The first is an extra glass insert with Gepe sized mount paint outs. The original Seton Rochwite plastic white, mounting insert is shown in place and can be exchanged with the extra glass insert. Also included with the box is a semi clear plastic left and right hand held viewer. A black Gepe size 3D viewer is also included to view the 2 images at once. This black viewer has some translucent front plastic pieces that can be removed to allow the viewer to be used on the light box as shown in the pictures with either the Realist or Gepe stereo mounts. A glass mounted focus slide set in Realist mask are included as an example. Also, two Gepe 35 mm mounted images are included.
