Original US Army enlisted collar disk. Raised dot pattern background. Heavy wear with the gilt gone from the face. Scratches and knocks. You are buying the material pictured. Post WW1. Pre WW2. With a few exceptions, gilt collar disks came into existence in 1921 as a part of a series of changes in enlisted men collar insignia. Bronze insignia were intended for wear on the service uniform and gold and gilt for wear on the white uniform. Bronze insignia were abolished in 1924, and the regulations allowed continued use of the insignia as long as the bronze finish was removed and the insignia polished to give it a gilt like finish. These patterned back disks were used until 1937 when a new design of disk with a patternless background was adopted. US shipping is $3.50 (1st Class mail with tracking). No international shipping.
