Early pontiled sauce bottle from the pre-Civil War 1850s period. No embossing. 8 vertical rounded columns, 8 sloping panels around shoulder, 3 hollow rings around middle of long neck. Sharp and large tubular pontil in shallow kickup. Super crude and drippy oversized applied donut top. Loaded with hundreds of tiny seed bubbles ... hundreds. A deeper shade of aqua. Not an uncommon bottle but this example would be hard to beat. Never in the ground, never tumbled. Looks like the day it was made. If you search real hard with a strong light you might find a tiny wisp of haze or two. 8” tall, 2 1/4” diameter.
