From the “Ash”layer of the sandwich beds, this is a Priscacara serrata. Nicely preserved,this complete, large specimen measures approximately 9.6” in length, from tipto tip.

It features excellentray fins, caudal fin (tail) and very defined dorsal and anal “spines”.

Thehighlight of this specimen is the stunning, natural golden-brown pigment, whichis found in the ash layer and does not have any paint or touch-up applied.

The plate measures about 14.2\" x 10.1\" and weighs 6 lbs. 8.70 oz.

The contrastof the light sand toned plate against the golden pigment of the fossil fish,makes this a stunning display piece for any fossil collector.
