Read the reviews on these Toshiba HD-A35 HD DVD players! These were released at the end when HD DVD was losing. This was the 3rd Gen and one of the best HD DVD players ever made.
It seems to be very rare as there are almost none listed or sold anywhere.
I picked up two of these in open box’s.
I think this is actually brand new in an open box. I purchased it as shown.
As you can see this one has been opened and tested. I think it was opened and unpacked only to take the movies and/or to see if it powers up. The packaging with the manual, remote control and power cord was still in factory shipped condition other than a hole in the side of the bag to get the power cord. Remote was clearly new in the package with original batteries sealed and unused.
The packing materials, movies and power cord were missing. I replaced the power cord.
I actually unpacked/removed the remote myself to test the unit. It booted up in setup mode with no signs of ever moving past the first step of setting the date. This is why I think this is a brand new unit and somebody just wanted the movies. See pictures. Looks and sounds great.
Never used beyond a couple minutes taking pics and testing.
I’ll throw in a copy of Blade Runner and Batman Begins to replace the missing movies.
