Antique VENUS #2 Brass Oil Lamp Burner. Thread diameter is 1 3/16”. Takes a 3” glass chimney base. Wick is 1” wide. The burner is in beautiful condition. It isn’t new but it looks new. Burner is solid brass, not plated. The great thing about solid brass is that it can be polished to eliminate soot & tarnish and it doesn’t rust. Typically this size burner & wick would be used on a glass base.

Just cleaned & polished and in excellent condition with brand new 8” wick. Wick advances easily.

Edward Miller & Co. operated from 1844-1924 in Meriden, CT. They had stores in NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago & San Francisco. This burner was likely made in the late 1800’s though it is not dated.
