Vintage 1906 Nicholas Power 35MM Projector Original Lamp Box Throw Switch For Sale

Up for sale is a single pole lamp box throw switch for a Nicholas Power Cameragraph 35mm ( Hand Crank ) silent movie projector. The single pole electric throw switch was used on all No 6--No 6A--No 6B Cameragraph\'s that were the ( Hand Crank ) models. The last picture here ( labeled )shows the motor driven option projector with the double pole throw switch. One throw switch was used to work the lamp box and the second throw switch was used to run the electric motor. The introduction of the Cameragraph No. 6A came with two options , the hand crank modeland the electric motor driven model. The difference in price was $345. more for the motor driven model. This throw switch box came off one of my Nicholas Power Cameragraph\'s that was operational. Included in the sale are two hard to find components individually. They are theoriginal mounting bracket that mounts the throw switch box to the projector frame and original high current cloth insulated cables. Both cables are 4 foot long, original and not cut. Each cable has both original copper eye connectors and the white cloth insulation is in goodcondition with only minor fraying . The two unconnected cable ends go into the lamp box and connect directly to the lamp or the arc light apparatus if equipped. This throw switch was a common design of the day and nearly identical versions were used on Edison projectors and Simplex projectors. In short this particular electric throw switch box will easily fit those projectors.The majority surface area (sides , front cover, back) on these boxes tend to dent and warp easily because they are made from thin sheet metal for heat dissipation. This box reflects those issues . There is only a small amount of metal corrosion that is evident. I took the pictures I thought would give a potential buyer an idea of the overall physical condition of the throw switch assembly.
