Vintage 1930’s Volupte Minaudiere Compact Purse For Sale

Exquisite vintage matte black enameled compact minaudiere signed ‘Volupte USA’ on the inside. The compact is nestled into a fitted silky black carrying case with a handle to allow it to be used like a purse. There is a small pocket on the back of the case for cards, ID, etc. Both the case & the compact are decorated with sprays of flowers on the front highlighted with an abundance of gold leaf. The flowers are made of tiny glass crystals of blue, green, purple, orange and pink to add a subtle sparkle. The compact itself is made of a goldtone metal and from the appearance of the inside it looks like it has never been used. There is a space for lipstick & powder as well as space for maybe cash or cigarettes and a mirror. The inside is pristine. There is a worn spot on the backside that is strange for this piece, somehow it has rubbed against something over the years. This little dance purse measures 4 1/4” x 3 1/8”x 3/4” and has a nice heavy feel of quality. Overall excellent condition.
