Vintage Camillus USN Fighting Combat Knife Modified With Sheath For Sale

Everything is tight and solid. There’s no looseness or anything. The blade measures about 6 1/4 inches long. It has been purposely cut down and shaped to make it dagger like. The handle has also been shortened as well and pinned into place. I assume this modification was for balance since the blade was shortened. In reading about theater knives it was interesting to learn that some soldiers preferred a shorter knife for combat. I suspect that the sheath is a replacement reproduction but I really don’t know. It came with the knife when I acquired it. The knife has discoloring, scratches, blemishes, dings, corrosion, wear, etc consistent with a vintage knife.
