A neat early hood ornament. Most likely an aftermarket piece, looks to be of a peacock or similar bird with a long flowing tail. In overall fair used condition with moderate wear and mild pitting to the chrome finish. No apparent makers marks underneath. Stands about 6-1/2\" tall and the bolts are on about 1-3/4\" center.
