Vintage Hamilton 21 Jewel, 992 Elinvar Railroad Pocket Watch For Sale

This early Hamilton pocket watch is 16 size (case diameter 50 mm). The movement is a model 992 Elinvar, 21 jewels, gold center wheel, gold jewel settings, micrometer regulator, lever set, and patent micrometer regulator. This was Hamilton's transition model from the 992 to the later 992B, and had the Elinvar hairspring, which was less affected by temperature. Movement condition is excellent. The case is the original and scarce Model 8, Hamilton marked, in yellow gold filled. The case has a little brass on the edge, but otherwise, the case is very nice. The dial is original double sunk porcelain and is excellent with a single hairline in the outer chapter. This 992 Elinvar dates to 1937.
