DESCRIPTION:
Vintage table lamp in Pop Art style.
Designed by INGO MAURER, 1966 for DESIGN M, Munich. Chromed steel base. Thick, mouth blown crystal shade. Inline switch.
Felted bottom. All original.
Maker\'s marks: \"Design M - Ingo Maurer\" label.
1970s I believe. Germany.

The chromed bulb is modern and is included.
CONDITION:
SHADE:
There is a concealed chip to the bottom edge of the shade, alone with some scattered minor edge roughness.
Otherwise the shade is in excellent original condition with no damage and no significant wear. No restorations.
No other chips or edge roughness. No dings, cracks, bruises, scuffs. No significant rubs or scratches.
Clean as found, inside and out. No stains, scale, discolorations.
BASE:
There are scattered spots of oxidation / light corrosion to the back side of the base as found. These spots may clean up with #0000
steel wool and Simichrome but I have left as found. This is not terribly conspicuous. See photos.
Otherwise the base is in excellent original condition with no damage or significant wear. No restorations / repairs. No other oxidation / corrosion. No dings, dents, bends, splits, cracks, etc. No significant scratches or rubs.
The felt is in excellent clean condition.
ELECTRICAL / FUNCTION:
The lamp is functional as found with no issues.
I have visually inspected the cord, plug and switch -- the insulation is in excellent, pliable condition with no damage or wear.
The switch is functional as designed.
I have not inspected concealed wiring and connections. As a general rule I recommend having vintage lamps inspected by a
professional before using in your home.
