A Vintage Leslie Wilton Blacksheep Glass Artist-Signed (SE) Oil Lamp/Bud VaseFor the not-so-many years that California glass artist Leslie Wilton operated under the name of Blacksheep Glass (there were so few women in the field, she felt like a black sheep, which became her signature name), she established herself as one of that art forms most inventive practitioners, as evidenced by the vessel offered here. With its oil slick iridescence, multiple colors, and swirling textured surface, the piece achieves the kinetic quality of sculpture. The few that exist for sale are advertised as bud vases. That wasn't how they began, although they certainly can function as one. Instead, they were intended as oil lamps, which would contribute to their kinetic, fiery appeal. this exceptional and flawless lamp is in like-new condition.....does not include a wick
