Measures 5.25"W x 9"H x 2.5"D.
This was purchased in India by a family member in the 1970s. There is a slight crack in the wood on the left side (see photo).
In Hindu mythology, Shiva and his consort Parvati are sometimes depicted riding on the bull Nandi.Nandi is Shiva's sacred bull, his animal form, and his means of transportation.The Sanskrit word nandi means “happy, joy, and satisfaction.”
