From a Tucson, Arizona collector\'s estate:
This mask was purchased by the collector in the 1970\'s but in my opinion it was made earlier. This vintage mask is an exceptional piece of folk art. Made of a heavy gauge of (probably) copper, the detail is exceptional. The facial features are carefully hammered out -- the cheeks have dimples, the nose has nostril holes, the red lips are inset for realism, the hair and eyebrows are detailed -- not the work of an amateur!
The mask is lined on the reverse with canvas.
The mask measures 14½ inches high and 10 inches wide.
There are minor areas of paint loss or wear. I suggest that you use the zoom feature to examine each photo in close-up.
Please examine all the photos and ask any questions before offerding.
Carefully packed shipping is $27.95 to U.S addresses.
