From a Tucson, Arizona collector\'s estate:
Vintage Mexican Folk Art Popote or Popotillo Painting.
Framed size: 14 inches by 12 inches. Image size: 8½ inches by 7 inches.
This an early piece, most likely 1940\'s or earlier. Earlier pieces like this have a great deal of detail and shading - much like an impressionistic painting. Note the shrubbery in the forefront. The popote work is in very good condition - no missing straws. The carved wood frame has several broken off pieces which I have tried to show in the photos. If you collect Mexican folk art and especially popotillo art this is a must-have!Please examine all the photos and ask any questions before offerding.
Carefully packed shipping is $20.95 to U.S addresses.
