Vintage Plumb Axe Head, Double Bit, 3.5 Lbs head only For Sale

VINTAGE PLUMB AXE HEAD, DOUBLE BIT, 3.5 LBS

Here is a vintage, double-bitted, Plumb axe head. It weighs 3.75 with part of the wooden axe handle still in the head, so I am assuming that without part of the wooden handle, the head itself weighs 3.5 lbs.

The entire head is 9" wide. The bit ends of this head are about 4 1/8” tall. The narrowest part of the head is 3” tall.

As seen in several photos, besides the “PLUMB” stamping, there are a few other things stamped into the steel blade: What looks like “163, “SEL” and “US”.

No cleaning was done on this piece other than wiping it off with an oily rag. Otherwise, it remains in "as found" condition.
