Offered is a Vintage Zeiss Ikon Movilux S8 Movie Projector. TheTag on the Bottom Reads: Zeiss Ikon AG Made inGermany Movilux S8 Nr. X 28068110-235V 50...60 Hz/cps 170VA max Lampe 12 V/100 W. There is a Knob/Dial on the Bottom to Set theVoltage, currently set at 117V. This is an 8mm Movie Projector (Not a Super 8). The Specifications as noted in the Link Below (Click on Zeiss Ikon Movilux S8 in the Purple Shaded Box at the Link Below) shows it Dates from approx. 1966. Cosmetic Condition is Very Clean. The Reel Arms Fold Out Properly and the Front Lift/Height AdjustmentPeg/LegFunctions as Designed. Note that the Rubber Tip on the Height AdjustmentPegis Worn.The Lens is marked: \"Vario-P-Sonnar 1.4/15-25 Carl Zeiss 3842424\". The Focus/Lens Adjustment Knob appears to Function Properly. The Projector Powers-up andthe Control Panel Light Lights. The Motor Runs Smooth and Quiet and the Motor Drive Belt is Intact and Tight. The Friction Belt for the Film Reel Drive is Intact but Somewhat Loose/Stretched,Still Functional. The Forward/Play Function (Button with the Forward PointingArrow on Top) Works Properly as the Bottom Reel Arm Spindle Rotates when Depressed. The Rewind Function (Button with the Backward Pointing Arrow) Functions, however, the Upper Reel Arm Spindle Only Turns Intermittently as the Belt Inside the Reel Arm has Stretched and Needs Replacement (I Removed the Reel Arm Cover and Inspected theBelt). When Activating the Rewind Control Button it is sometimes Necessary to Turn the Knob on the Back of the Case(Motor Drive - See Pic #11 ) for the Rewind Button to Depress. There is a Lamp Switch on the Back Side of the Machineand a Lamp Button on the Top. I Replaced the Lamp/Bulb with the Proper 12 V/100 W Bulb(Lamp Installed - Box Included) but when Powered-up the Bulb/Lamp Does Not Light (Machine MAY Need Film Installed for the Lamp to Light - Not Sure). Extent of Testing. I Did Not Run Film through this Projector. Very Clean High Quality Machine that needs some Attention. Please review the detailed photographs. Sold For Parts Or Repair - No Returns.
