Vtg. Pair of Steuben Teardrop Crystal Taper 8 7/8\" Candlestick Candle Holders For Sale

Vintage pair of Steuben Teardrop Crystal Taper Candlestick Candle Holders. Larger in size, they measure 8 7/8\" tall X 4 3/8\" across at the bottom. Excellent condition with no nicks, dings, fleabites or wear. Some minor scratching on the bottom.
Glass artist F. B. Sellew created the design for Steuben in 1937 by forming six separated pieces of glass by hand and assembling them while the glass was still hot.
The baluster shape features a rolled bobèche, three sets of double ring wafers, a reverse teardrop in the center ball section, and a large bell-shaped base measuring 4 3/8\" in diameter.
The candle holder is hand signed in script, and has a partially polished area where the glass blower broke off the base from the pontil rod.
