It represents a private purchase and features a Miller and Mack of Flushing, New York tailor\'s label. The sweater is clean and has only some moth spots to the waist band and a spot to the back. I purchased this from the Airman\'s niece this autumn. He had been a radioman/communications specialist. The Army Air Force did not have a specific uniform regulations for aircrews and airmen for flying. Personal accessories like a sweater are very hard to come by as practical items were used up in civilian life, especially with the shortages in civilian Wartime clothing. The Army Private Purchase Sweater is at least 77 years and is in good plus condition.
