"The Western Group" Bugs Bunny and Friends Limited Edition Cel Signed by Chuck Jones Artist's Proof number 17/25 (Warner Brothers, 1980).A duded-up Daffy Duck, grizzled prospector Porky Pig, sheriff Elmer Fudd, and cowpoke Bugs Bunny (with a carrot in his gun holster) watch as Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner do their "Beep! Beep!" thing, in this very early Chuck Jones limited edition cel. This is thefirstone created by Jones for his own line of limited edition cels. There are only 100 pieces in the regular edition and 25 Artist's Proofs of which this is number 17. The hand-painted character images are on a 16 field cel placed over a print background. It bears a Linda Jones seal and is hand-signed by Chuck Jones in the bottom right. Of all of the early Chuck Jones limited edition cels, this cel is one of the most sought after by collectors. It is in a 26" x 23" frame under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 16" x 12.5". A certificate of Authenticity is on back. Condition is Fine.
