The HRO 60 was introduced in 1953. The HRO-60 was produced from 1953 up to about 1964. The design goal for the HRO-60 is successful communication. The adjustable Lamb crystal filter provides a steep skirt and narrow bandwidth giving great selectivity. I listened to Radio Moscow announce the opening of the Berlin Wall and I was listening to a ball game on VOA when an earthquake struck California with this receiver. With 18 tubes, double conversion (above 7MC) and a current regulator for the oscillators, this is the final evolution of the tube-type HRO.

Multiple purchases will be combined to reduce shipping costs whenever possible. However because of the size and weight of this National receiver and coils I will ship in two boxes. Please contact me for a corrected invoice before paying! If you want to have a good idea of what the postage will be for this new-to-you HRO Sixty the HRO itself will weigh 55 pounds and the box will measure 24 by 24 by 18 inches. The two coil sets will weigh 31 pounds and be safely packed in a box measuring 14 by 14 by 12 inches.

On Aug-03-11 at 08:16:05 PDT, seller added the following information:

19 Inch Portable RackNineteen (19) Inch Portable Equipment RackPerfect for the HRO SixtyI found this in the spare bedroom under a long unused desk. I removed the HRO from this because I kept the HRO in a rack with three other pieces of equipment. Winning offer buys the HRO 60 in this rack. As I wrote above, please contact me after the end of the sale for a corrected invoice since the HRO and rack make one box while the two boxes of coils make a second box and 's shipping calculator isn't set up for multiple box shipments.
