Now, Again at, last reduced price, I didn\'t have the top white battery cover. So, I made a one from a carboard. Showing in the picture here.
IF you happen to have one of these covers it will fit perfectly.
But you\'ll have to very carefully to remove the green color display meter.
And then, glue it back, From under inside the old original cover.Radio is Really Working Spectacular, with rich gorgeous sound & cosmetically looking so clean, Sorry for the quality of the pix, it was taken with my Coolpix camara S9300.
All the chrome, and top front plate are gorgeous no scratches at all.
I have replaced, All the Electrolytic capacitors With Brand new fresh ones.
Although it wasn\'t necessary, But I did replace them as precautionary measure any way.
To guarantee its performance as of today Era time.
Actually, the chassis look so beautiful & clean.I have Meticously Cleaned all controls & switches; Tunning gang variable capacitor & Re- lubricated the function switch assembly.
Installed white Led\'s, in the dial drum assembly.
The Super strong (non-Lithium) 12 volts Rechargeable battery.
That will last forever. With a 12 volts charger included.
You will never buy batteries again for this radio.
The Tiny green display voltmeter, On the battery cover to show you. the actual battery voltage.
And a fuse holder with a 2 AMP (Gma fuse), To protect the radio.Also,There are two more Extras 2 AMP(Gma fuses) behind the radio back cover.
The fuse holder it is located on the outside corner of the battery case.
I have removed the spring on the dial light switch, So you no longer don\'t have to hold it down,
Now you just slide down and it stay down.
The handle & antenna are excellent.
This radio is in super ,Extra ordinary working condition playing with great strong up front
sensitivity and gorgeously clarity of crisp crystal clear sound.
Specially with these brand new fresh electrolytic ,Now been installed.
It just plays like a new Original, Out of the factory, period !!
The bands selector is very smooth and accurate, practically noiseless.
It tunes the stations on the dial scale, Right on target.
The dial drum lights ,Glows fantastically Gorgeous with these Ultra-pure white led\'s in there.
I have re-polished the chassis and the entire set to re-enhance it even more
I love repairing these radios as a hobby,
trying to make them work & to look like they were done in the 60\'s.
I have tested The IF (Intermediate signal frequency) section and no realignment were necessary, On this radio. Also double checked all resistors for off valuesAll were Fine within it\'s tolerance..
l take deep pride doing this job, And it takes me a lot of days of work and consuming time to really making it to Work & look the best as of today time Era.
I can\'t make them mint( I wish I could but ,
I certainly sure, I did the best possible to make them better to work & to operate
Especially, without spending a lot of money buying these D sizes batteries)
