ALCO NORTHERN PACIFIC BRASS BUILDERS PLATE, BROOKS WORKS 2-8-2 CLASS W-3 For Sale

Another plate I obtained from the late Al Farrow in the early 1990\'s. No room to display so time to pass it along for another collector to enjoy. Brass ALCO/BROOKS plate is from Northern Pacific 2-8-2 steam locomotive #1799. Locomotive class is W-3 and was built in June 1918 with construction #58620.Plate measures 13 1/4 wide, 7 1/4 tall and 1/4 inch thick. Plate in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, bolt holes clean, lettering sharp. Plate was repainted at some point and is ready to display. My records show that #1799 was converted to an oil burner in 12-1946 and was retired and scrapped in South Tacoma in 10-1956. I\'m sure Al obtained this plate at the time of scrapping. Hard to find in this condition and a great example of Northern Pacific steam.
