Antique 19th C Stoneware Decorated Ovoid Virginia Rockingham County Crock 9\" For Sale

We arelisting for your consideration a lovely Antique 19th Century Stoneware Salt Glazed Cobalt Blue Floral Decorated Ovoid Jug attributed to Rockingham County Virginia. This crock is inGreat Condition with 4 chips to the rim of the base, some spider lines on the base that are below the glaze with 2 smaller sections extending to the inside of the crock at the base, some spider linesabove the one handle that are below the glaze, and some minor shallow chipping to the underside of each handle. The crock is guaranteed 100% secure, itrings true when you tap it and you cannot feel the spider lines when you run your fingernail over them. The crock measures 9\" tall x 6\"at the top rim x 9 1/4\" wide x 6 1/4\" at the baseand weighs approximately 6lb 1oz. The crock features awonderful squat ovoid form with applied thick handles and a large center bordering cobaltblue floral decoration. We believe this is a Virginia piece from RockinghamCounty.
