Antique 19th Century Stoneware Decorated James River Virginia Crock 12 1/8\" For Sale

We are listing for your consideration a lovely Antique 19th Century StonewareSalt Glazed Cobalt Blue Decorated James River Virginia Crock. This crock is in Excellent condition with 1 very tight old secured hairline that extends from the top rim downward a bit past halfway. It starts on the one side to the right side of the decoration and does extend to the inside. You can refer to the last 2 pictures, very hard to see on the outside, guaranteed 100% to be secure, the crock rings true when you tap it. There is 1 slight ping chip to the outer base rim, some raised bump areas on the outside and inside of the crock and2 area of roughness on the inside side of the crock, they all happened during the firing of the crock. No other chips, cracks, and or repairs, we guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the excellent condition. The crock measures 12 1/8\" tall x 6 3/4\" at the top rim x 9 3/4\" wide x 6 1/2\" at the base and weighs approximately 9lb 4oz. The crock has wonderful hand tooled large thick handles and a wonderful center cobalt blue decoration on both sides. We believe this is an example of James River, Virginia stoneware and dates from the early 1800\'s. A great rare example of Virginia stoneware it would make a great addition to anyone\'s collection.
