Antique 18th Century Sarcophagus Style Tea Caddy
Very Nice Antique Wood Tea Caddy. I believe the wood is mahogany, but I am not positive.It is made in the style of a sarcophagus, has an inlaid bone or ivory escutcheon around the key hold - there is a lock, but I do not have the key. Original warm wood aged patina, in very good antique condition. Bottom is unfinished.
Inside there are two unfinished sections with wood tops. The wood tops have very small white colored knobs. The inside of the lid has a red finish of old paint.
The tea caddy measures 8\" long, 4.5\" wide, and 5.25\" tall.
