We arelisting for your consideration a lovely Antique 19th century Stoneware Salt Glazed Decorated 1 Gallon J. Swank & Co. Johnstown Pennsylvania Crock. This crock has 3 old tight hairlines that extend from the top rim, 2 are very short the 3rd extends to the bottom half of the crock. All are 100% guaranteed secure, the crock rings true when you tap it and all are quite slight you have to look close in to see. There is a large chip to the top rim, a smaller one, and one smaller that has been filled in. No other issues, we guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the condition of this rare example of Swank stoneware. The crock measures 11\" tall x 5 3/8\" at the top rim x 7 1/4\" wide x 5\" at the base and weighs approximately 5lb 2oz. The crock is marked J. Swank & Co. Johnstown, Pa along with a 1 for gallons all impressed. A great unique and rare form for this Swank crock along with great cobalt blue swag bordering decoration numbering 5and slightly ovoid center with a unique tall slightly flared top rim.
