OFFERED TODAY is an original antique American made Bogardus dark amber glass target ball in very good condition, found in an old shed in Southern NJ. It measures about 3"H including the 3/8"H neck, x 2 & 3/4" diameter, & has molded raised crosshatched designs, bisected by a smooth band with raised lettering, "BOGARDUS' GLASS BALL PAT D APRL 10 1877.". (The D in PAT D is smaller as shown.) There is also a raised number "8" inside the diamond of the crosshatch above the A in APRL.

The ball still has traces of old dirt inside which I did not try to clean, & the neck has a little typical normal roughness around the top edge from where it was severed from the blow pipe. (There area few tiny glass fragments inside the neck that stuck on before the glass cooled.) There are no chips, cracks or other damage, just an occasional small air bubble in the glass, which is characteristic. I have provided 20 photos here for your perusal, taken against a white cloth as well as held up to the light. A nice example for the collector that will be wrapped & packaged with utmost care.

WINNING buyer: Payment is required within 3 days of sale's end (unless you are MAILING your payment)...if you are offerding & winning more than one item, please let me know, & request your total when you are finished offerding...I do combine & DISCOUNT the shipping for multiple purchases made within 1 week (IF they may be shipped together safely, & all must be paid on a SINGLE invoice issued by ME to reflect the discount). Often, with similar, smalleritems, there may be little or no additional charge, depending on the additional weight & insurance. Signature Confirmation will be required for purchases over $200. RETURNS: Returns accepted only if not as described! (NOT for frivolous reasons such as Buyer's Remorse, color doesn't match my eyes, item doesn't fit me or my decor, I want the money for something else, I changed my mind, found something cheaper, etc.) Please contact me in advance to discuss a VALID reason before any return. Item or lot must be returned promptly, and received by me in the EXACT condition as pictured and when sold etc.), and include ALL original wrapping materials, gifts, parts, etc. Refund will be issued for the PRICE OF THE ITEM ONLY, upon its safe return and passing inspection.
