There is a very faint embossing along the bottom edge which I believe reads: the \"New England Glass Bottle Company\". It was produced c1827- 1845. The bottle stands approx. 8 ¾\" tall with a 4\" oblong diameter. A well defined sand pontil can be seen as well as, a crude applied lip and linear swirl lines along the neck. Aside from typical appealing characteristics due to its crude production (some bubbles and mis-shapen form), this bottle shows NO cracks, breaks or repairs. I\'ve made no attempt to wash or tumble this bottle. It is being offered as found. Truly a fine example!
