Antique Bootmaker Cobbler Shoe Repair Porcelain Trade Sign, Forged Iron Bracket

...... This sale is for an antique, very early 20th century, hanging Porcelain Cobbler\'s Trade Sign which advertises for F. W. Howes Bootmaker. The blue and white, double-sided porcelain sign measures 17\" by 11\" and including the hand-forged iron frame it measures 21\" by 14\". This sign came with the original 32\" long by 15 1/4\" hand-forged iron hanging bracket, which unfortunately has a break to one of the hanging hooks, but we have the piece! Also, as you can see, the iron bracket and frame have an old rusted surface from years of being hung outside. The blue & white Porcelain Sign has some edge wear and chipping to the porcelain, which you can see in our close-up photographs.

Please be aware that UPS will be increasing all shipping rates by 4.9% and this increase is effective as of December 29th, 2014.

UPS is also using a new billing structure which calculates the cost of shipping using Dimensional weight instead of the actual weight of the package. More information about this change can be found on UPS’s website and if you see an increase in the shipping calculator, this is why.

If you find that there is a discrepancy between \'s estimate and your invoiced shipping cost, we apologize. We are currently working closely with to have the calculator provide accurate costs. In the meantime, we are manually and accurately adjusting each invoice after the close of the sale. We assure you that we do not make money on shipping! We also assure you that we properly and professionally pack every item as well as fully insure each package. At the end of each day, any buyer who has paid $5 or more over actual shipping costs, will receive a refund!

Payments:

Payment must be received within 5 days of receiving an invoice. PayPal payments are preferred and if payment, or contact from the buyer, isn\'t received within 5 days, an dispute will be opened. This dispute will be closed within 4 days after being opened and the item will be re-listed.  If you have a problem, please call us and we will help you solve it.

If you have a special address that your item needs to be shipped to, it must be reflected in one of these places, or we cannot ship it there. We are not protected by Paypal’s Seller Protection Policy if we ship to an address that is not reflected in or Paypal’s system.

US Buyers: The shipping calculator on the sale is an estimate and actual charges will be figured at the close of each sale. Our standard method of shipping is UPS ground however, if you prefer USPS this is also an option. Any item that sells for over $250 must be sent with signature required and if you choose USPS, it will be shipped via express mail.

International buyers:  Please be aware that you may incur a brokerage and/or customs fee upon delivery. Winning buyer is responsible for shipping & customs charges and we WILL NOT LIE on customs forms. This is illegal and is against ’s policies. All items that sell for over $250 are sent via express mail. If you have questions regarding this, please feel free to contact us.

Returns:
