Antique CIVIL WAR era Soldier ID\'d ? \"BULLSEYE\" Canteen PORTER & BOOTH PHILA. For Sale

Old \"BULLSEYE\" canteen - in \"as found\" uncleaned condition. Antique original \"Bullseye\" canteen - I believe it is from the U.S. CIVIL WAR era. About 8 inches in diameter - looks like it has it\'s original cover and original stopper. Also the carrying strap is original - although it appears that it was resewn on both sides (where the side carrying mounts are). The carrying strap is complete - but it does have some holes and tears. The spout has some markings on it: PORTER & BOOTH PHIL (with a small A after PHIL) ......DEN. Also it looks like some previous owner \"engraved\" his name underneath: Peter V. Shann (I BELIEVE that\'s what it says) - this could well be the CIVIL WAR Soldier who carried it !!?? The spout does have some movement - but it\'s not coming out. Please study the pictures - they are the most important part of the description!
