antique georgian tea caddy box chippendale english brass mahogany 1780 casket For Sale

Very nice, clean tea caddy, chippendale 1780-1810. It is English, bought in Devonshire years ago. It is missing the actual tea canisters and dividers, which is typical of these boxes, I actually think it is better because now you have an actual box you can use. Great patina, beautiful mahogany veneers, with a great piece of feather mahogany on top, oak secondary woods, and original cast brass handle and escutcheon. Unfortunately no key. Overall very good condition, general light wear from 2 centuries of use. The felt on the inside lid and bottom is newer, ant the piece on the lid has become partially unglued, and will need to be reglued or replaced. Measures about 10" wide, 6" deep, and 6" high.
