I am pleased to offer you this Antique Industrial Sewing Machine. This Machine belonged to the Estate of a Hat Maker here in the Toronto Ontario area. He had a thriving business years ago. His factory was in operation during the early 1900’s and his machines were some of the finest in those days. Feldman machines do not show up on and are not commonly found. The last one I have seen was sold by Wolfegang’s Collectibles, who is a experienced dealer in Antique Sewing Machines. He has kindly given me permission to reference his machine THAT WAS SOLD ON , item # 131274422310. If you enter that number into the search bar you can view a similar machine and some expert information. Machine measures approx. 10 inches high and 9 inches wide. 13 inches high when siting on stand.
I believe as he does as well that Feldman Machine Works must have had a connection with Willcox and Gibbs as the design, and the decorations are so similar. Chain stitchers with the same style looper. If this machine did not have the original identifying plates and numbers on it ….. I would have thought it was a Willcox & Gibbs!!
