From the sailerking\'s collection, this is a 1930\'s vintage foldable jackknife with forged iron blade. Thisunusual knifewasmade over 80 years ago in the early Showa Era (c. 1930\'s). It has the signature of the maker, Munechika Higo knife(see picture 6) .
It has been well used and well loved, and with the exception some minor oxidation, it remains in fine condition. Overall it measures 6 1/4\" long (16 cm) with ablade that is 2 3/4\" (7 cm) long. Closed length is 3 1/2\" (9 cm). It has an unusual blade extension when closed that aids in a quick opening (see picture 9). Opens and closes with ease. A great sized andversatileblade. Currently verysharp.
